Since I cannot really write much I am going to put it all in pictures…
Here goes…
It was a wet and gloomy day
We arrived to a snow laden Switzerland!
Despite finding most airports in the world quite depressing, I found Zurich Airport to be quite sharp and clean and fun and awesome. More like walking through a modern shopping mall. No security concerns up front, much like Amsterdam.
The rental company gave us a decent car…
But not the one we wanted…
And so we head off to our hotel, amongst the snow, the fog, and the chill…
Our hotel was on top of a hill, with a very windy road…
I got a decent room with a sink in and an amazing view. The TV didn’t work though :(
There was a full moon and I took lots of pictures of the moon !!! (there are 20 more… lol)
Since it was a moonlit night and had wonderful view, I took loads and loads of pictures. It did not come out very well, but you can still see a lot more than what I expected!!!
I took these pictures with my window open. With around –15 degrees outside, my room soon turned into a refrigerator and my body started to protest. I had to use the hair dryer to warm myself up… !
Desperate times call for desperate measures indeed…
Guess what I woke up to though!!!
Taken from my bed, just to give you an idea of what was in front of me!
We headed to work and that night I had something very Swiss. I cannot remember the name properly, sounded something like Roosh-dale, and it was stripped up potatoes which were fried. I had it with pepper sauce and was awesome!!!
The views only got better the next day, despite a lot of snow having melt the night before!
But then I got a chance to take some pictures from where the guys I had to visit worked.
Following are a few pictures from their windows!
On our way back, our flight was delayed, but it was not that bad since we were at Zurich Airport. Where else would you see a couple just break into a salsa dance? I did not take any pictures of them though! I rarely take pictures of people!
It had been snowing a lot and hence our flight was delayed. Also, for the first time in my life, I saw a plane go through a de-icing procedure!
And just to wrap it off, I am going to throw in a couple of panorama shots I took. Since I had no tripod they go all bubbly and weird 3d even, but hey, it was all fun and games!!!
Till my next adventure… au revoir!
